There are a few explanations as to why you may see a 404 error on flixel.com. 


Privacy Settings

If your cinemagraph is set to private, only you will be able to view the cinemagraph while logged into your account on flixel.com. You won't be able to embed the cinemagraph on your website or share the URL with someone to look at.

If you want to embed your cinemagraph to a website or share the URL with others, you have to change the privacy setting to shareable or public. If the privacy setting is set to shareable, only you and those you share the URL with can view the cinemagraph on your profile. 


Username Change
If you recently requested a new username, you may have to clear your browse cache and cookies. Once you've cleared your cache and cookies, sign in on flixel.com with your new username. 

Follow these steps to clear your browser cache and cookies on Safari:

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click on the Safari menu at the upper left corner of your screen
  3. Click Preferences
  4. Click on the Privacy tab
  5. Click Manage Website Data...
  6. Search for flixel.com and select it or click Remove All
  7. Click Done

Follow these steps to clear your browser cache and cookies on Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click on the browser menu at the upper left corner of your screen
  3. Click Preferences
  4. Look for Privacy and click Content Settings
  5. Click All cookies and site data...
  6. Search for flixel.com and select it or click Remove all shown
  7. Click Done
