When you upload a video to Facebook, it gets converted into their preferred format. To ensure your cinemagraph profile video is being uploaded to Facebook in the highest possible quality, select the Facebook Profile Video preset in your export settings. 


Cinemagraph Pro for macOS

  1. Export your cinemagraph by selecting Export (⌘E) at the upper right corner of the app or under the File menu
  2. Under Preset, select Facebook Profile Video
  3. Click Next and name your file
  4. Transfer the cinemagraph to your mobile device via email, AirDrop, Dropbox, etc
  5. Open Facebook (mobile app) and tap on your profile picture or video
  6. Tap Select Profile Video and select your cinemagraph
  7. Trim or crop your cinemagraph if necessary and tap Next
  8. Select Use


Cinemagraph Pro for iOS

There are two ways you can upload cinemagraphs created in Cinemagraph Pro for iOS to use as your Facebook Profile Video; you can either save the cinemagraph to your device and upload to Facebook or share to Facebook in-app.


Save & Upload

  1. Go to your documents or tap on the back icon to exit the editor
  2. Tap the share icon
  3. Select Export Cinemagraph
  4. Optimize your cinemagraph for Facebook Profile Video
  5. Select Save
  6. Open Facebook (mobile app) and tap on your profile picture or video
  7. Tap Select Profile Video and find your cinemagraph
  8. Trim or crop your cinemagraph if necessary and tap Next
  9. Select Use


Share In-App

  1. Go to your documents or tap on the back icon to exit the editor
  2. Tap the share icon
  3. Select Export Cinemagraph
  4. Optimize your cinemagraph for Facebook Profile Video
  5. Tap the share icon
  6. Select Facebook Profile Video *
  7. Trim or crop your cinemagraph if necessary and tap Next
  8. Select Use

If you don’t see Facebook Profile Video in the share window, scroll to the end and select More. Enable Facebook, tap Done, and select Facebook Profile Video to open the app.
