We always recommend sharing HD cinemagraphs on the web to display, but email is one exception. Because you can't control autoplaying and looping video within emails, a GIF is the most reliable file type.

Cinemagraph Pro for macOS

  1. Export your cinemagraph by selecting Export (⌘E) at the upper right corner of the app or under the File menu
  2. Under Format, select Animated GIF
  3. Click Next and name your file
  4. Insert the GIF into your email

Cinemagraph Pro for iOS

  1. Go to your documents or tap on the back icon to exit the editor
  2. Tap the share icon
  3. Select Export Cinemagraph
  4. Select GIF under File Format
  5. Select Save
  6. Insert the GIF into your email

It’s important to try and keep the total size of your email to 10MB or less because messages can be blocked if they’re unusually large. As such, when you select GIF under File Format, the resolution will be updated to the smallest size available. You will not need to increase the number of repetitions because one repetition will loop endlessly. You have the option of customizing the settings by tapping on the specific setting you wish to modify, but it is not recommended for this format.
